Our ProgramsWELLcome Home(TM) Wellness - An integrated wellness program for orphan, foster and adopted children While in China we met with the orphanage director and other officials to discuss the needs of the orphan children. Donations allowed us to purchase an air conditioning unit for the infant rehabilitation room. Many infants that have been institutionalized for the first year of their lives suffer from fine and gross motor delays and have nutritional deficits. Some babies have attachment difficulties. Many babies adopted from other countries have communication difficulties because of the language barrier that exists. Some babies have sensory integration problems. With proper nutrition, love and care these infants thrive and flourish in their new loving home. Wellcome Home(TM) Wellness DVD will be helping adoptive parents to improve the overall health of their new baby. Click here to find out more! "We're addicts, really. People call skateboarders all sorts of names: slackers, loiterers, vandals, nuisances, extreme athletes. But only one word accurately describes the craving we've felt inside from that first moment on a skateboard. Addicts. Twenty-four-seven skating: We watch skate videos, talk boards, think up moves-textbook addiction. That moment, rolling away from a trick, is a high few things can compete with." Quote Derek Nielsen Skateboarding was born on the streets, in the city. It came from people looking at something-a bench, staircase, sidewalk curb-and turning it into art.
The term "addiction" is used in many contexts to describe an obsession, compulsion, or excessive psychological dependence, such as: drug addiction (e.g. alcoholism), video game addiction, crime, money, work addiction, compulsive overeating, problem gambling, computer addiction, nicotine addiction...skate addiction. Our mission is to help young skaters to achieve a balanced lifestyle, free of addiction, with the freedom to create and realize their full potential. What is balance? Balance is having symmetry between madness and silence. It's when you're able to push yourself almost to the breaking point, and then punch out for the day with no hesitation. Are you able to "punch out" for the day and study, spend time with your relatives, sit in silence, and feed your need in positive ways? If not, we are here to help you!
